PT. Monang Sianipar Abadi or MSA Kargo was built upon the dreams of Monang Sianipar, founder of the company. The young Monang Sianipar was still working with Garuda Indoensia when he felt the urge to set up a forwarding company of his own. Realizing the prospective business of air transportation in a vast archipelago like Indonesia, where the number of islands alone come to no less than 13,000, Monang Sianipar established PT. Monang Sianipar Abadi or MSA Kargo in 1981. With just 3 employees and an old pick up van, Monang Sianipar began his operations from a modest office at jalan Oto Iskandar Dinata by servicing his customer with Airfrieght Domestic Door to Port service.

In the following years of his endeavours, Monang Sianipar was backed up by a couple of partners who joined him to strengthen his enterprise at MSA Kargo. By 1984, thanks to selling international airline services, MSA Kargo was honored with membership of IATA. Today it has grown amazingly into a company of 950 employees serving in 12 key cities in Indonesia. Operating from its prestigious office building at jalan Minang Kabau in the heart of town, Monang Sianipar and his associates is ready to lead the company ahead into the frontiers of expansion, to anticipate the golden opportunities of Indonesia's boom in foreign trade.

Monang Sianipar started his first business by joining A Kosgoro company, PT. Kostour Tours and Travel, Jatinegara branch office.

• 1980
Saperating from PT. Kostour, Establishment of PT. Bonani Pinasa or Bonansa Holiday Tours and Travel

• 1981
Establishment of PT. Monang Sianipar Abadi (MSA Kargo)

• 1984
Became IATA Member
MSA Kargo Surabaya Office opened

• 1985
MSA Kargo Medan Branch Office opened
Appointed as an exclusive agent by a multinational company, McGregor Swire And Air (MSAS) Cargo.

• 1986
MSA Kargo Denpasar Branch Office opened

• 1987
MSA Kargo Yogyakarta Branch Office opened

• 1990
MSA Kargo Bandung Branch Office opened

• 1992
MSA Kargo Semarang Branch Office opened

MSA Kargo Solo Branch Office opened

First ISO Accreditation to MSA Kargo Jakarta by Sucofindo MSA Kargo Batam Office opened

ISO Accreditation to all MSA Kargo by Sucofindo

Monang Sianipar to be the chairman of MSA System and no longer be executive.
Sahat Sianipar was appointed as President Director and CEO MSA Logistics Establishment
